Ainsdale Shop

The current business was started in Ainsdale in 1974.

Peter (Tony's Dad) Tony and Diane started the business

at 32 Station Road.

The shop flourished and some time during the

second year of business we moved premises to

our current position at 581 Liverpool Road.

The Ainsdale shop has been extensively

modernised and extended; it now

provides the base for much of our

contract and wholesale business.

Not long after moving in to the new

premises Steve Ashton (who had just left school)

joined Tony - That was 1977!

Steve quickly learned the trade and became shop Manager a few years later. Steve has a very easy going style of management, his team have been with him for years and so have many of his customers.

Steve is now Managing Director of the Ainsdale shop. He is a cricket fan supporting Lancashire CC, unfortunately his football team is Tottenham Hotspurs.

He has lived in Ainsdale all his life and went to school at Birkdale Secondary Modern.

One of the shop's most popular new products is the Spicy Meatloaf. It is a very tasty product, great served hot or cold.

The meat is cooked and therefore only requires warming before serving. Sausages, burgers kebabs and chicken snitzels are freshly made on the premises. There is an extensive range of cooked meats the most popular being the traditional boiled ham. Stir-fry dishes and the unique Cock-a-leekie stuffed chicken breast also features in a bright window display.

The Ainsdale shop window has an array of spectacular colours that are created by the ready made meals from around the world. These meals are created on a daily basis by the experienced butchers that work within Broughs Ainsdale. Created for your convenience these meals are sort after, as simply oven bake or stir fry is all that is necessary. Come and try these five star meals and be prepared for a taste sensation which you will never forget.

Below is the Ainsdale team;

John Reid; John is the assistant manager at the Ainsdale shop and adds great character to what is a successful team. If you visit the shop over Christmas you are guaranteed to spot John as he is the lonely sole in the Everton hat, as well as hear him with his cheery whistling which goes along with it.

Nick James; Nick is the latest employee to join the Ainsdale team. Nick has been a butcher from the age of 16 and comes from a successful family run butchers business. Nick has joined Broughs as the catering team leader. Blink and you will miss Nick as he works at such a pace.

Mary Pantellerisco; Mary works out of the Ainsdale shop and is the driving force behind the great customer service, if you decide to do your meat shop here. Mary not only looks after the customers but makes sure the guys in the shop stay fed and watered. Mary is an integral part of the Ainsdale team.

Steve O'Hare also is a vital part of the Ainsdale team.
